New research released by Eastern Management Group has found that Unified-Communications-as-a-Service is experiencing exponential growth, and will account for 50% of PBX seats by 2022. In a survey of 4,000 IT managers of businesses with 300 employees or more, Hosted PBX was by far the fastest-growing communications solution being adopted.
In 2010, Hosted PBX seats accounted for only 4% of PBX seats to the current number of 28% Eastern Management Group predicts that the Unified-Communications-as-a- Service is experiencing exponential growth and will achieve 30% new growth by 2020, giving the majority of seats to the cloud solution.
Driving the growth is telemedicine and stay-at-home orders as a result of the global health event that has forced many businesses to find new ways to work and stay connected when traveling to the physical office was not an option.
